I am proposing that the course be left alone, and the planes adjust their flight for the course. The way it is now, you keep the plane balls to the wall and do your lap. This way, you’d have too much power to do that (as you illustrated) so the pilots would have to be constantly adjusting engines and spoilers and things like that. It would be less like NASCAR and more like F1 or MX.

I think the Reno Air Races should add a new class that’s dedicated to supersonic aircraft. Bring in all the big military forces and have them race their Flankers, Eagles, Mirages, Typhoons, etc. That should add a whole new dimension to the game.
